Abi Mallen - Natural Wedding MakeupAbi had very sensitive skin, so we had to be very careful as in the past wearing makeup could cause her skin to flare up. Thank goodness, her skin was looking fab at her beautiful wedding at The Crag Wood.

These pictures are a selection from an Easter Styled photoshoot I was the makeup artist on set for. My brief was to use lilac and mint green soft shades on the eyes, and give a really fresh feel. I am so pleased with these pictures.

Bridal Makeup Artist I absolutely love this natural look. Fresh flowers in the hair are so on-trend right now and are such a beautiful alternative to a tiara or veil. As the Bridal Makeup Artist I used very soft browns, and a pale lip. I did use individual false eye lashes, which are very subtle but really complete the look.

Bridal Makeup ArtistThis gorgeous image showcases a slightly heavier look for a bride. The base is an airbase airbrush foundation, which gives a flawless finish. As the Bridal Makeup Artist I used grey’s on the eyes, contouring on the cheeks, with a subtle blush, and strip false eye lashes to really give a subtly dramatic evening look.

My good friend Laura Bent and I, who is also a professional bridal makeup artist, were the make-up artists onset. It was an amazing day, I loved doing the ‘rocknroll’ make-up looks. All clothes for the shoot were supplied by Yves Saint Laurent, sadly I couldn’t bring them home! (If only…) I can’t wait to see the final edit of the video, judging by these pics I think it’s going to be pretty cool!

IMG_6775[1]Laura has very pale skin. So for her dramatic evening look, I did a soft smokey eye using black, greys and purples – all Mac shadows. Her base was Mac face and body, with Illamasqua Naked Rose Blush. Her lips are a Dior gloss. From these before and after pics, you can really see the change.
